WHAT TO BRING

  • Your favorite gear! We have quality gear for each guest, however we know how great it feels to use your own. Bring your fly boxes, especially if you tie your own flies. We'd love to see them and it is always more fun catching fish on a fly you tied yourself!

    • We recommend the following setups:

      • Switch or Spey rod 6wt-8wt

      • Single hand rod, 10' 7wt or 8wt

  • Warm layers. Fall in Alaska can bring a variety of weather, so be prepared with clothing to stay warm in any conditions. Things like thick wool socks, wool base layers, various insulating layers, waders and boots, rain jacket, and gloves are a important to have with you. We also carry propane heaters, provide hot drinks and soup, and have a few other tricks up our sleeve to keep you comfortable and on the water longer.

  • Polarized sunglasses. You should have your eyes covered anytime there are hooks flying through the air. Polarized lenses will cut the glare on the water, which can help see fish, rocks when wading, and reduces eye fatigue.

  • Fishing License. This must be valid for the days you will be fishing. You can purchase these online at the ADF&G website.

  • Cash for gratuities. We kindly ask guests to bring cash for tipping, as you will likely get to experience fishing with each of our guides. While our guides work hard to ensure your experience is top-notch, tipping is a way to show appreciation for their efforts. Your generosity directly supports our guides and helps maintain the quality of service we're known for. A modest tip is around $75USD per angler, per day. Thank you for understanding and for considering this gesture of appreciation.
